Well I am so stupid I wanted these the ugly above the going to be finished but we all k now sometimes I just don't quite have what it takes to get this computer thing down pat . I bought this Aladdin Lamp in a $1.00 box as you can see it was awful but I think when Roger gets through it will be beautiful. I has Aladdin # 8 on the wick lifter. What a find. A friend brought me the clear Aladdin and gave it to me. I also love old lamps. Heck I love everything old, especially Roger...............

New Kitchen Shelf

My wonderful hubby surprised me yesterday with this shelf for my kitchen.....We have had the boards for a long time and thought about usng them for a hat rack but this idea was so much better..........Just when I think he has totally forgotten I am on this planet he does something outstanding for me........He has had such a hard time the last two years, five heart attacks, diabetes, neuropathy, a stint, PTSD, and now heart failure.. For the life of me I can't imagine my life without him in it........We married when I was 17 and he has been my whole life ever since..........I guess I'm having one of those no sleep nights. I do that when he has had a pretty bad evening..........I have always been able to fix it to make it better in our family and I get so mad because I have totally lost control of his health situation.....I would have never thought of myself as a control freak but guess what.......When I set my mind to make it better I expect it to be so......Any way too much bewildering on my part tonight.........The cornbread pan is a Griswald..I got it from my sister in law and I love it. I am so happy to have a place for it where it can be seen.....Roger wanted to know if I still had some dough rollers to put up and was kind of surprised when I pulled out eleven of them...So I like dough rollers too.....I think I love anything old especially Roger.

Auction Find

I found this at an auction in Blue Oklahoma. I think I paid $4.00 for all three. They don't exactly fit in with the rest of my teapots but different is better sometimes......We have been doing the VA for seems like the last month. They cut Rogers med in half again and that seems to have done the trick.....fingers crossed. ...Well it's hot once again but still so dry. If I only had one drop of Indian blood I would strip off naked and do a rain dance......If that didn't startle the Rain Gods honey nothing would........Gotta go it's tea time. Til next time may the wind always be at your back..............

Crazy Mans Bob Sled

This is the bob sled I was talking about. I have no idea how old it is but was probally around when I was scooting down a hill on that wringer washer lid. My hubby went to a salvage place today and he said there were all kinds of goodies out there. The one thing he mentioned was an old blacksmith forge that someone sold for scrap. I can't wait to get out there and dig. I just know there are great old things just waitng for me.Maybe even some metal teapots. Be assured that I will report what I find. Hubby is having a time with this new medicine that is for his heart. He took his blood preassure before going to bed and it was down to 86/51. It worries me to death . But I guess we will find out what is waht at the next Dr. visit. Well until next time take care and happy hunting.

First Teapot

This was my first teapot. I bought it at a flea market in Paris Texas. I thought it was so great because the sugar bowl and creamer was together with the teapot as one piece. I think it is probally from the fifties but am not real sure...We had a fairly cool weekend but the temps are up again...Oh well it's July!!!!!!! My buddy Linda told me how to post the pictures and it was a snap....Hope our friendship can survive the computer classes.......lol.......Till next time everyone have a good night and a better day tomorrow.

Cold Front

We woke up this morning to cooler weather and I am very thankful. My crazy husband was getting gas yesterday and happened to mention to the guy next to him that a cold front was coming and he had his Bob Sled ready. The guy thought he was crazy but looked anyway. Sure enough in the back of our truck is an antique bob sled. Well the man stated if he had run across one he would have gotten it too. It was so funny the look on his face. I remember when we were kids if we got a big snow the only thing we had to sled on was the top off the wringer washer. Only the rich kids had a real sled. The moral of this story is if you wait long enough riches will come to you . Maybe not in money but in the form of the sled you always wanted. The sad thing is I'm too damn old and crippled up to dare use it.It's Saturday and I'm on the hunt for teapots. Everyone have a great day and happy hunting for whatever makes you happy.
